by Anthony Potts Visit Date:April 23, 2011 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "We had an excellent stay at this resort, having your own transport makes it a lot easier as it is a little way out of town, but right on the river and only a couple of KMs from the bridge, would stay at this resort again <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |
by Lisa Finn Visit Date:January 1, 2011 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "The resort iself is situated beautifully on the bank of the River Kwai. Rooms were spacious, staff were very pleasant and helpful. We attended a New Year s eve party, and it felt that everything was fully geared to Pung Waan s oriental customers as everything was in their language. We has apparently won a prize on the raffle, but because it wasn t read in english as well as Thai/Manderin etc, we didn t realise. We also experienced the restaurant once for dinnner and was very disappointed when the food came out cold as they had limited staff due to a hotel function, and it didn t help that the staff didn t understand us. It would ve helped if someone had asked us how they could put it right, but they couldn t. It does seem that Pung Waan management need to access it s overall customer service, to really understand it s customers. If you can t offer the same level of service to British or American people then perhaps it might be best not to entertain us. It was supposed to be a nice resort covering the new year to break up our travels and we left there sorely disappointed. We won t be going back in a hurry! <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |

January 19, 2010 by Reinhard Wilfinger Visit Date:January 15, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Great surrounding, the park is beautiful; rooms clean, but terrible air con (old, noisy, smells); staff nice but speaks English not very well;" |
by Karin Hatzold Visit Date:December 30, 2009 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "This is a wonderful place in a beautiful environment. The rooms are large, spacious, clean, nicely decorated. The swimming pool area just beautiful and a large pool with spotlight for night swimming. We stayed in a room with view on the river and I recommend this option. Just perfect to relax. Not too far from Kanchanaburi town centre either. The staff could do better with a little English lesson. communication were a little limited but we finally could understand each other. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |
by James Bordycott Visit Date:October 22, 2009 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "We picked this hotel to be a quiet place but close to Kanchanaburi - perfect in both respects - lots of room to walk and enjoy the river frontage - great facilities and staff -food excellent - on line internet service was down when we arrived but they fixed it within a day; and the hotel developer has an interesting adjacent real estate opportunity for home buyers - check it out !!! We ll make this place our home next time we are staying in k- buri." |
by Viktor Vansevicius Visit Date:August 15, 2009 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Think everything was OK, but i wondered that i booked a better room as normal, but saw all rooms are the same because all rooms have been empty and i could look into. so i was a bit wondering that i paid more formy room which looks the same as the others." |
June 25, 2009 by Visit Date:June 13, 2009 "Wasn t that impressed with this hotel, for the money, we had stayed in much nicer. Hotel staff weren t that helpfull, pool wasn t that clean, bedrooms needed a make-over. And so far out of town you can t walk (and the Taxi fair was fortunes). Hotel was empty and isolated. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |
